Hot tubs have become a popular addition to many households, offering a luxurious and relaxing experience; however, like any other mechanical system, hot tubs require regular maintenance to ensure they remain in optimal condition. One crucial aspect of hot tub maintenance is regular servicing. In this blog, we will explore the importance of regular hot tub servicing and why it is something that you should consider.
Extending Lifespan
As you would likely expect, regular servicing plays a vital role in extending the lifespan of your hot tub. During a servicing session, a qualified technician can detect problems early on, before they develop over time. Components such as pumps, filters, heaters, and electrical systems can be thoroughly inspected and cleaned, preventing premature wear and tear and ensuring their longevity.
Ensuring Optimal Performance
A well-serviced hot tub operates at peak performance, delivering the soothing experience you expect. Over time, various elements such as dirt, debris, and chemical imbalances can impact the performance of your hot tub. Regular servicing involves cleaning and balancing the water chemistry, ensuring that the water is safe and properly treated. Additionally, the technician can assess the water circulation, jet functionality, and heating efficiency to maintain the ideal experience.
Cost Savings
As mentioned above, investing in regular hot tub servicing can save you significant costs in the long run. By detecting and addressing minor issues early on, you can avoid major breakdowns that may require expensive repairs or component replacements. Routine Hot Tub Maintenance helps identify small leaks, malfunctioning parts, or electrical issues, which can be rectified promptly, preventing further damage. Moreover, a well-maintained hot tub operates efficiently, minimizing energy consumption and reducing utility costs.
Services we Offer
As a general rule of thumb, we don’t feel it is necessary to have your Hot Tub serviced until it is at least two years old; however, many customers still do just for the peace of mind. At Spafix, we offer four main types of routine maintenance.
Spafix Once
Spafix Once is a full annual clean and maintenance service. This service includes a deep clean of your hot tub, a full maintenance and performance check including inspection of pipework and glue joints, as well as a shock treatment, biofilm remover and chemical balance. Our trained technicians will also mate notes of any suggested Hot Tub Repairs, and sign off this service with the customer.
Spafix Easyfresh
Are you struggling to find the time to keep on top of maintaining your hot tub? Spafix Easyfresh is a regular, quarterly, clean, drain and re-fill service, which can be carried out more frequently if preferred. During this visit, we will also clean your cover and filters and top up your chemicals. This service is perfect for the average busy worker who is perhaps struggling to find the time to keep on top of the Hot tub maintenance.
Spafix Hibernate
Spafix Hibernate is our winter shut-down service which prepares your spa for the months it won’t be used. This service includes a deep clean and drain down, then locking the Spa down for winter. Ensuring your spa is decommissioned properly over the winter is essential to avoid freezing pipe conditions which can lead to cracking in the plumbing or even the Spa shell or components.
Spafix Start
Our Spafix Start service is ideal for a Spring re-commission. It covers all the points of a Spafix Once but we do recommend a re-drain and fill a few weeks after recommissioning for optimum results.
Looking to spread the costs?
We recognise that you want your hot tub ready to use when you want to use it throughout the year. A Spafix Maintenance Contract spreads the cost over a full 12 months to help you avoid any ‘One-off’ hefty bills. We offer a FREE, no Obligation site survey to verify that your hot tub is in a suitable condition to be able to offer a Maintenance Contract. We will advise you of the most appropriate standard of cover to suit the present use of your hot tub and how best to proceed should there be any repairs or new parts needed prior to acceptance on the scheme.
